Clocky Run Away Alarm Clock with Wheels
Nowdays with the accelerated pace of lifeless, the pressure become more and yet more stressfulness, some people have the problematic: hard to get up, so you need a clock to wake you upon. This cute little alarm clock runs away and hides when you don't wake up. Clocky gives you one chance to get up. But if you snooze, Clocky will jump off of your nightstand and wheel around your room looking for a place to hide. Clocky is kind of like a misbehaving pet, only he will get up at the right time.
Never over-sleep again! Clocky is the alarm clock on wheels that runs away beeping! You can snooze one time, but if you don't get up, Clocky will jump off of your nightstand up to 3 feet high, and run around your room as if looking for a place to hide. You'll have to get out of bed to silence Clocky's alarm. Clocky beeps in an R2D2-like robotic pattern so that you are sure to hear him. Clocky is much like a misbehaving pet, only he will get you up at the right time!
You can set Clocky to run away right when the alarm sounds, or set to snooze one time before he runs away. Clocky is a customizable snooze time up to 9 minutes long. You can also turn off Clockies wheels if you don't want Clocky to run away one morning. A backlight helps you see Clocky at night. Clocky is perfect for those of us who have trouble waking up in the morning! He is compact, clever, and playful. He will never cease to amuse you as you wake up in the morning.
You can snooze once for your chosen number of snooze minutes and if you don't get up, Clocky will start beeping again and run away. If 0 was chosen as the snooze time, Clocky will run away as soon as the alarm sounds. He always starts by moving forward off of your nightstand. Then he will move around for 30 seconds in different directions.
This thing is so much fun to play with. It sounds like R2 D2 from Star Wars, and after the first time you hit the snooze alarm it jumps off the table or nightstand and runs around the room a beepin and a flashin. You can see it works pretty well on the carpeting and it moves even faster on our tile floors. It can jump down from up to 3 feet without killing itself which is more than you need for most nightstands.
This makes a cute gift for the person who has everything but likes to sleep.
1. The alarm tone is adorable and (most importantly) somewhat random. Unlike the traditional Casio or Timex alarms, which sound like fire alarms, Clocky sounds like R2D2 going crazy. I hate all alarm clock sounds with a passion, but somehow I haven't been able to fall in hate with clocky. That sound is just too darned cute (and somewhat random, which helps).
2. The actual running around functionality is a little gimmocky but effective. The thing is, clocky doesn't run until after you've snoozed once, so you have incentive to get up (this can be configured from 10 to 0 minutes, thus effectively immediately buzzing and running). But overall, it works. Clocky runs until he gets stuck on a wall or a discarded bit of clothing, and makes a bunch of noise. You've got to figure out where he went and drag him back.
When some sort of light hop to the ground, Clocky actually lands on the ground with a resounding thud. While this little thing feels hugely sturdy for an alarm clock, You can't imagine clocky would be too happy long term if you put it up more than 3 feet off the ground and had hardwood floors. Still, It's probably more safe to throw across the room than most alarm clock.
3. They've also fixed a lot of the little problems with most clock interfaces. For one the buttons are easy to press and interact with. Changing the time isn't a tedius experience, as the key repeat rate is much faster and more responsive than most clocks. Otherwise, it's press a button, get a response, with a clean and simple UI. The only unintuitive function was setting the snooze time (hold down the alarm time), but otherwise the UI is beautiful.
What if R2 D2's only obligation was to chirp incessantly at sleepy Jedi warriors first thing in the morning, while zipping around the bedroom? Certainly, Luke Skywalker would never sleep through a light saber combat training session with Yoda or miss out on a breakfast date with Chewbacca. For anyone who is prone to chronic snooze tag. Created Clocky, their vocal, spastic alarm clock on wheels. Clocky hops off the nightstand and then runs this way and that, all the while beeping with an unpredictable cadence and flashing the backlight on his display screen. With his relentlessly annoying antics, Clocky is effective at motivating even the groggiest sleeper out of bed to hunt him down and put an end to his prattle.
Clocky features a user-friendly interface to set the time and the alarm. For those who prefer a warning before Clocky gets moving, the clock provides a one-time snooze function, customizable from zero to 9 minutes in duration. Likewise, users who prefer not to chase their alarm clock can turn off the wheel function. The display screen includes a PM indicator light and a low battery notification icon, as well as wheels and alarm icons to signify that these functions are on. To ensure safe jumping, place Clocky facing forward on the edge of a 3-foot high or shorter nightstand and clear the landing area of any objects that he might fall on. Clocky is not designed to maneuver shag carpeting. For operation, Clocky requires the separate purchase and installation of four AAA batteries. Clocky comes in several colors.
